Book Review: Nora Roberts - Hidden Star (Book 1)

Nora Roberts' Hidden Star is Part 1 of the 3 books on The Stars of Mitra. The Stars of Mitra consists of 3 gems, and the gems are with 3 different people - Bailey, M.J, Grace. Book 1 tells of Bailey's ordeal to protect the gem.

Bailey James has anmesia and couldn't not even remember who she was. But she knew she was in some kind of trouble. Seeking help, she found Cade Parris, a private investigator to help her find out who she was, the trouble she was facing and to protect her. The moment Cade saw Bailey, he had set his eyes on her and wanted to protect her wholeheartedly.

Bailey and 2 of her brothers, twins - Thomas and Timothy inherited their father's business and she was a gemologist. She had to access the 3 stones on The Stars of Mitra. Overcome by greed, her brothers plotted against with each other. Timothy killed Thomas and was about to kill Bailey too, but she managed to escape. Thunders, lightning, murder. Bailey was terrified and had blocked all these out of her, causing her amnesia. Before this, Bailey knew the 3 gems would be stolen, and thought it would be safer to send the gems into 3 different directions, with 3 different people, causing her friends, M.J and Grace also to be in hot pursuit. (To be covered in Book 2 and Book 3, which I have not read yet.)

Definitely a thrilling book, with lots of hot romance between Bailey and Cade. A rating of 4 stars out of five.
