Major Haul

It's been shopping and more shopping these few days. It all started after the painful blood tests and CT scan. It was so torturing that I had to endure 3 pokes, out of which 1 made me cry and now is bruised.

And so it started with me staying overnight at laogong's place so that early Tuesday morning, we can go into Malaysia. Batu Pahat. Bought 3 things there. A t-shirt, 1 slipper (photo not taken) and 1 shoe.

Shoe below costs 19.90 ringgit. Super comfortable.

T-shirt costs 12.50 ringgit. Cute. In case you can't read the words - "Kick here... Kick there... Ouch!!!" What else can I say? It suits me. (Accident prone)

And then it went on to today, meeting Sultanah at Far East Plaza. Had a great day shopping, chatting, gossiping and talking about our boyfriend. And the whole day we only loitered at FEP and a tiny part of Tangs. Bought a few things there.

Dress for $30. (After bargaining) Comes with a free belt.
DSC00127

and the free belt...
DSC00128

I think its quite worth, considering the belt is usually sold around $5-8. At least I'm happy with this and both of us think is a good buy. All that walking and sourcing is indeed useful. And since I am an addict of nicely decorated nails, I couldn't help it and had to get this nail sticker and nail polish.

2 nail polish from MISSHA at $2.90 each and nail sticker from LIVIA at $2.90 too.
DSC00133

And finally I found the shop, Citrus Sox and bought handphone socks. Each for $1.90, but if you buy 5 you get 1 free and being a true singaporean, how can I resist such a deal. So, I bought 6 for $9.50. I'm only keeping one for myself and the rest giving away.

Pink bunny - Mine. Blue Doraemon - Yanling Jie. Blue Dragon - Brother. Black alien - Laogong. Yellow weirdo - Yanxin. Pink rat - Mummy.
DSC00132

And finally, after much working, and at Tangs, we found this handbag. Chic, classy, suits both formal and casual. Costs $11.90.

DSC00129

After such an eventful day, both of us were famished! And headed to takashimaya, Seoul Garden. What else can you get when you put 2 girls together, eating a buffet. Gossip and more gossip. We really enjoyed ourselves, right Sultanah?

Now that I've done part of my shopping, I'm broke! More shopping coming up, after I get my pay. Oh and yippie! 2.2 months bonus. I'm a happy woman today.

O Christmas Tree

O Christmas Tree O Christmas Tree
lalala...

And after doing it for about 2 hours with my family..

DSC00125

In the christmas mood yet? I must say that I always love my christmas tree because it's big and we always decorate it nicely. This isn't the completed tree though. We still have some more things to add in. The snowy effect landscape, for the base. Will do that next saturday.

Am dreading tomorrow. Blood tests (6 different types of test) and CT Scan tomorrow.

Wanna go for a big feast after the tests and piano lesson.

Sad isn't it?

Sad isn't it when the first thing you wake up you get screamed yet for waking up at 10am?

Sad isn't it when you share your thoughts with your parents and get scolded in return?

Sad isn't it when you need support your dearest parents hardly give you any?

Sad isn't it when you can voice out your thoughts freely?

Sad isn't it when parents expect you to behave like an adult yet don't give you the trust?

That's the life I had for the past 20 years 11 months.

And what have I learnt?

  • Learn to keep your mouth shut
  • Be independent
  • Tolerance

Good or bad? You decide.

Who do you call your friend?

*names in this post have been omitted*

What would you do if someone backstabs you in the back (not literally) and runs away without you knowing whatever happened and who it was?

My answer? I don't know. I just realized that I have an enemy without knowing who it is and what I did to make this person my enemy? Could even be someone who I treat as a friend. There's are only two people who know it, a mutual friend and that person herself. Funny right? How the other party involved doesn't know any shit about it.

Will I confront that person?
Maybe.

Will I backstab that person?
Nope. If I have to, I'll confront that person.

To that mutual friend: I can understand why you refuse to disclose the identity of the other person to prevent any quarrels or whatsoever. However, I hope that you'll think it through, what if you were in my shoes? Someone says something about you and you have no idea who she is. How would you feel? I won't guarantee you that I won't confront her but if you really do know me, you should know that I don't act irrationally. You keep saying let the matter rest. What else can I do? I can't possibly take a knife and force it out of you. I also won't deny that your action to protect the other friend did hurt me a little and I thought I was a friend close enough for you to trust me of my actions once I know the truth. I know that you are thinking that by not telling me, you are showing concern for me and being a friend. It's up to you. Unfortunately, I don't think so.

To that person who hates me (if you do read this blog anyway): I'm open to confrontation. You don't have to go one big round just to shoot me, while I was making an innocent comment. It could be a misunderstanding or different thinking (as what your friend told me) then clear the air up. Up to you.

Shall not say anymore.

Redid my hair

I woke up and took my morning bath. Oh my gosh! Where are my curls?! Missing. Ok, kinda exaggerated here but basically, my curls were rather straight. Was a little upset but my hairstylist expected it already because I have rebonded before and the curls may not stay. Anyway, my day had to move on.

Went to school to hand in my cover page for DCE 200. Apparently I forgot to attach it to my project, but I remembered doing it. But for the sake of my marks, just go down and hand it in one more time. Bumped into Raymond in school because his DCS assignment was giving problems to tutor. Left after slotting my paper into my tutor's letter box and went to meet twinnie aka hamida at choa chu kang for a super late lunch. She too agreed that my hair was not as curled as yesterday. Heart sank even more. Was contemplating of cancelling our day's plan and head back to the salon but well, didn't want to spoil our plans and so we went to chinatown!

Walked around People's Park Centre and bought a few things to make a chunky necklace. I tried doing it in the bus on the way back. It's quite nice but it was just a rough one. Have to redo it nicely and then I'll take a picture of it and post it here. Twinnie also bought a few things to do. She came out with a great idea and I may do it as christmas prezzies.

Couldn't stand it any longer. Had to have my done hair today! Reached the salon around 7pm. Had to wait a while cos my stylist was busy with another customer. Twinnie went to her friend's shop while waiting for me. So my stylist looked and said she'll redo. And after 2 hours, the curls are much nicer and stronger and should last. Taught me somemore techniques. Here's how it looks like. And I know laogong would say, "got difference, meh? looks the same. messy" =X Laogong dun kill me. Hehe. I'm finally happy again. Furthermore, she didn't charge me a single cent. Good service.

DSC00103

And went for dinner and took this picture with my dear twinniex before going back.

DSC00106

For those curious people who want to know why I call her twinnie, I shall give a short explanation here. Basically, both of us are secondary school really good friends. Sat together, laughed together, did everything together. Had the same hairstyle and walking style too! From the back, our friends couldn't tell apart the both of us. And so we decided to call ourselves, the twins! All thanks to Jarrod and Victor (if I don't recall wrongly), who suggested this. And so, though we each have our own style now, the habit is still there and we just call each other twin.

To mar and those who are keen to know the shop that I go to do my hair. It is at Bukit Batok Central, near the bus interchange and S-11 coffeeshop and behind the POSB bank. Shop name is Chez. They are open only from Monday to Saturday. They also do eyebrow shaping for only $3. A neighbourhood shop but value for money. They close at 8.30pm.

It's done

And I've done it. At least my butt isn't that itchy anymore. Done what? This.

Total cost: $85

Type of perm: Normal

My hairstylist told me not to waste money on those ceramic/spa/digital perms because they don't last as long as normal perming.

I quite like my hair now. Wohoo! What say you?

Refreshed!

It's refreshing going to the gym. Finally after about 2 weeks of rest, I've finally hit the gym again. Had to drag myself there, but the thought of not being able to look pretty for my birthday was enough to motivate me there.

But guilty guilty. Had frog legs porridge for dinner with laogong and we ate a lot! And an ice-cream after that. Looks like all the effort has done down the drain. Oh well, at least like what laogong says, we are not losing nor putting on. Just maintaining. Should I laugh or should I cry?

I really feel so "gian" to do my hair after seeing one of my students yesterday because she just permed her hair too. Can't wait to do it, so yeah, I guess I am more or less decided that I will perm since I received quite a few feedback from my friends that I should look good with permed hair. Except that I may look older and bitchy. Haha, like what my boss told me, Just go and do it lor. No harm trying. Get a new style once in a while. It's cool. Even my boss' mother also supports me. Now I wonder, what will my parents' reaction be? Gaaa can't wait to do it. May just go and do it tomorrow. Anyway, may I ask, what is the difference with digital perm, ceramic perm, spa perm and normal perm and such? There are so many kinds! Guess also will not go JB to do because of the risks that I may get cheated and what if they do not do a good job. My hair is gonna look like burnt wires! Should go to the person I trust and get a job well done. Paying a little more to be safer is worth it, I guess.

Goong

I have finished watching Goong (宫 aka 我的野蛮王妃) today. The starting was a little slow but the story is really touching. Well, I won't spoil the story but writing down in my blog. The only thing I would say is, touching and it made me cry a hell of a lot, especially the ending. I think I cried even more watching this show as compared to Da Chang Jin. The songs in the show are very catchy and now I am so crazy over the songs, I am debating whether to buy the CD (since it is quite hard to download all the songs).

Think I have recently gone K-pop and J-pop crazy. I don't understand anything what they are saying in the song, but as long as the tune is nice I like it. My recent craze with k-pop is with the songs from Goong, in particular, Perhaps Love. Maybe I should find the translation. Another nice song, japanese song, by SMAP - Dear Women. Quite nice too. Again, know nuts about what it is saying.

I guess my next drama serial I will start watching is My Dear Samsoon. Yeah, I know most people have already watched it, since it aired a few months ago. Well, I finally have the time to watch. Many many korean drama serials to watch this holidays.

Anyway here are 2 types of curls that I am looking at.

Curl style 1
curl2

Curl style 2
curl3

Please vote using the chatbox whether you think I should perm my hair and which type of curl you think I should do. Please please please. Pretty please. Ok? Hehe.

Anyway, here's how I look with well, sort of curled hair. Managed to get this effect only after twisting my hair and clipping it for one whole day. And it is still not very curled.

Sigh

Sigh. I don't want to write down what happened. Too personal. But I am feeling so upset! But I admit it is my fault. What should I do? Sigh. Have all sorts of thoughts running through me now. Mainly bad. When will this ordeal end? I don't know. Maybe never. Ah!!!!

8th Motorcar Show

Went to Suntec today to see the motorcar show and I must say that I did enjoy the exhibits. Dad, bro, laogong and I went. Took the train because dad said that the carpark at suntec would be quite full and he didn't want to waste time looking for a lot. For a person who only sees car as a means of convinent transport, I felt that the show was good. A couple of high ended cars there which you will never expect to own or maybe even see in daily life. There is one thing that I must comment. The female models around were not the least pleasing to the eye, except for one or two. Substandard. Why do they have to think that everyone wants to take photographs of them?! We just want the picture of the car, without them. However, the longer you aim your camera, the more poses they change and we can't take our photos. Laogong got so fed up because he couldn't take the photograph of the new tuscani! That model couldn't pose nicely (kept showing her undies! in her poses) and her mouth is lagi (super) big!

Anyway some pictures here are of what we took today.

Red Hot Ferrari! OooooOoooo My dream car. Keep dreaming I would say.
IMG_0870

Posh of the posh. Lexus.
IMG_0883

Not sure of the brand but what the heck! It looks good and I would love to be driven in one.
IMG_0880

Lambourgini (hope the spelling is right). Changes colour under different lighting. Eye catching and wallet burning car.
IMG_0871

Bet those who know me will be surprised as this is the first time I post pictures of cars up in the blog (apart from my damaged dad's ford). Well here's to let you all know, I don't just shop and eat and shop again!

It's my holidays now! Yippie! Gonna relax and wait for this semester results to be out. DLK 200 test was good. Hope to do well.

Look out for my blog revamp coming soon too.

Trip to Johor Bahru

It's been a long time since I went JB for shopping, well, not that I shopped today there anyway. Bought only 4 pairs of earrings for 10 ringgit. I am thinking of going back again in December to probably perm or rebond my hair, still thinking which will suit me and also maybe to get some clothes, if I have the money. Budget a little tight and now SPGG just called me today to ask me to pay my membership. Thought I cleared it already. Must check with them. Had lots of fun and ate a lot. Donuts, ice cream, bbq stingray, fried kway tiao, fish ball noodles, etc etc etc. Ah! So much food, need to hit the gym soon. 50 sit ups tonight too.

Happy that Yanxin and bf's mama both says that I have lost weight. Although no drop in weight, I guess is really due to my muscles building up. Unfortunately, as a result of this, my calf muscles look bigger. Argh!!!! Anyway to trim that down?

Took this picture on Sunday, Jerome's Confirmation at a restaurant we went to for dinner.
DSC00075
Know what this is?
A Chopstick holder! Looks so hmmmmm... no comments.

Took this picture today while in JB, forced by my dearest laogong. Act cute picture.
DSC00095

Got my medical checkup tomorrow. 2 of it. Dreading to go, but well, at least get it over and done with. Going to burn another big hole in my wallet. Looks like no shopping this month too. But I am craving to go for ktv. Just received a letter from partyworld. They are sure efficient. Sent me vouchers for my birthday. Partyworld is tons better than Kbox, where I don't even get my member privilege just because my birthday falls on christmas and there is no birthday package on christmas, only christmas package. What rubbish!

Hmm, think I should be going ktv soon. I have to, if not, I'll keep whining. Haha.

Completion of DCE 200 Assignment

I have finished my DCE 200 assignment. Finally. After struggling through the past 3 days. I am quite happy with my lesson plan. Wondering if I should hand it in tomorrow. I do not want to make a special trip down to school on Wednesday just to hand it in. Since I have DLK 200 tomorrow, I might as well just hand it in since I've finished doing it already. But what if I still want to make changes in the next few days? If you were me, what would you do?

Went to Turf City for BBQ steamboat today. $12 per pax. Finally after many fews of dieting and exercising, I decided to give in just this once. It's back to the gym tomorrow again. I guess I shall not be too focused on my weight as I believe that I am building muscles as I go to the gym. Most importantly is just to feel healthy and reduce that tummy, tighs and arm area.

One more thing left. DLK 200 test next friday!

Have you ever wondered...

Have you ever wondered how do you know if the one you are with now is going to be the one? Well, that was what my brother asked me a few days ago and I have been thinking about it. I guess my answer is, I don't know because no one can tell the future, although, yes, I hope that the one now, will also be the one always. But I would say that being with laogong for three years and still counting, I do see him as my laogong. I won't deny that it will be a tough road ahead, but I can feel laogong's sincerity when he talks about his plans for our future. Laogong, whichever job you choose, I will be supporting you. Most importantly, you must love the job.

Have you ever wondered why you love that person no matter how irritating he/she is? I guess love is blind. It just happens!
