So many things to blog about

There are so many things to blog about. Happier things first.

On Sunday (14th Oct) the 3 of us finally met up! We were all so excited. Upon seeing me, Lingling was kinda in a state of shock and said I looked different. Ming Xiu wasn't in much of a shock, because she saw me last year December. It felt like old times. We just chatted and chatted non-stop. Gossiping and catching up on old times. Totally enjoyed myself that night! We went to the chong qing hot pot behind bugis. Although we queued for nearly an hour, I think it was worth the wait. Food was good and cheap. Only problem was that the seatings were rather squeezy. Well, can't help it that their business is so good.

Other than eating, we had a reunion gift exchange, where we each had to prepare a present and then we'll draw lots. I had Lingling's present (earring), Ming Xiu had my present (a pouch) and Lingling had Ming Xiu's present (a keychain with a pic of our poly days).

Some photos to recap the good times.

Ok, now for something not so nice.

I was so super pissed yesterday, to the extend I didn't wish to talk to anyone. I told my dad last Saturday that I was going to use the car on Tuesday night and he said ok. Then on Tuesday he called me 6 times while I was in class. When I called back, he asked if I was going to use the car and I said yes. Then he broke the news to me that my brother took the car out. He said that since I didn't answer the call means I don't need the car. So no choice, I had to take a long train ride down to airport to send my dear twinnie off to Japan.

Dad called me when I was on my way back and I just said I was in a cab. Who's going to pay for my cab fare? Wondered if both of them felt guilty. Then when my brother wanted to talk to me, I totally ignored him. Was so angry. And he had the cheek to tell me he promised his friends, so he had to take the car. So only he was the one who promised? My dad promised me the car, and he can break it?

Gillian asked me today, so how? I said I'm still going to ignore both of them. And her reply was, you can be so stubborn. Well, I guess no one has seen me blow my top before. It just happened yesterday. I was so angry I cried.

Felt sad for other things too. I've been going to see the doctor quite frequently these few weeks, but only one person seems to ask me, how was it. Only one. I shan't say more.

Some updates...

Decided to blog early this morning because the piano tuner is here and I have to get up real early. Ok, got up about 8.45am. But I'm still very sleepy ok?

Got back 2 tests. Scored a A+ for my grammar paper and B+ for my linguistics paper. A little disappointed by that, but nevermind, I shall continue and try to work hard.

Have this craving to go to Crystal Jade but the problem is, no one wants to go with me. Boo hoo hoo. Laogong said he will go with me, but in the end ... ... ...

Can't wait for Sunday! Will be meeting Lingling and MingXiu (and probably Linda), along with their other halfs, for dinner at ChongQing Hot Pot at Liang Seah street. Hurray! It's been awfully long since we girls had a get-together. I miss the poly days with them. If not for them, my poly days would have been hard to pass. While talking on msn, we were all so excited and it was such a girly talk. The kind of talk that guys will never understand. I bet Sunday we'll all go crazy with catching up. The last time I saw Lingling was like 2 years ago (according to her) and I saw MingXiu last year during my birthday, for a tiny weeny little while. Wow! And we're going to have a reunion gift exchange. Basically, we'll each bring one present and draw lots and see who gets whose.

Oh! Piano tuner's done. I think I can go back to bed for a while more.

Sick!

Everyone's sick at home, except my brother. Everyone's down with the flu and sore throat. I think the reason why my brother's ok is because he is hardly at home. The weather is just simply terrible!

A piece of good news that I have is that all my 8 piano students who took exam this August passed with flying colours! Although some of them really didn't deserve it, I can still look forward to a pay increase. Oh well, another 3 more months and I'm not working there anymore. Tired.

End of recess week

It's so fast. One week is gone. What have I done? Studied a little, went out a lot, stayed at laogong's house, played my mmorpg a lot.

Tuesday was mooncake festival. The 5 of us - laogong, his 2 sisters, mum and I went down to walk at the jetty facing the causeway with our battery operated lanterns and music from the lanterns playing in the background. It was so funny, but quite fun. We sure did attract quite a lot of attention. Stayed over that night, because it was too late to go.

Wednesday was a rest day for me. Studied what I could, played what I could.

Thursday met laogong and went out with my gaming friends for dinner at Swensons bugis and then to a pub. Met Riven and his wife, Gab, MW, HD, QQ, CF and a few more. It was interesting, just that it was all about gaming and I was as good as the only girl in the group, apart from Riven's wife. Before meeting them, we also went to Sim Lim and I bought a new MP4 player. It's pink and looks like ipod nano, but of course, it's not. Now, I think I want a speaker. Shall see how money goes.

Friday was the big day! Facial at RIW was simply terrific, although I must say that going with Yanxin was quite an eye opening experience. One feedback I will always remember that yx told the therapist. Facial should be charged according to face size. The therapist was amazed and hinted that yx talked non stop. That day was meant to be a surprise from Yanxin and ting jie. Yanling jie and I had to plan this day for nearly a month. From booking chalet to bbq locations. Although both of them weren't as surprised as we thought they would be, we just hoped that had fun. Oh and I must mention this. The taxi driver nearly drove me crazy. You see, we blindfolded ting jie to bring her to the bbq place. So yx wrote the address on a piece of paper and the driver read it out!!! The game was as good as over.

The weekend was spent studying a little and playing my mmorpg. Nothing much for mention.

Exactly one year ago, I mentioned in my blog to help pray for Chris that she'll be able to pull through that period due to the passing of her father. One year later, I am going to ask my fellow readers, in whatever religion, to help me pray for Chris again, that she'll be able to pull through this tough period again. Her mother just passed away. Such devotion to each other. I do believe in that, and not just mere coincidence. For Chris, call me if there's anything alright?

4th anniversary with laogong

It was a very important day for laogong and I yesterday, 23rd September 2007. It was our 4th anniversary together. Well, we didn't go out to celebrate because I was in Bangkok and would only reach back Singapore past 11pm. In addition, laogong works on Sunday too.

Nevertheless, laogong came to fetch us and he bought me a bouquet of flowers and a SK necklace. It was so sweet and lovely! Muack! Thank you laogong.

How fast 4 years passes. Sometimes we wonder how we can stand each other. I guess it requires a lot of give and take.

I love you laogong!

Back from Bangkok

I'm back!!! Bangkok was fun! Shopping, shopping, shopping and a few cultural tours. We went shopping at Indra Square, Pratunam, Mabunkrong, Jatujak, Suam lum and Pat Phong. Not everything was cheap though. Some of these places sold things at a price I can find at Bugis, despite bargaining. Still, those cheaper items, my mum and I wiped them up quickly. In short, look, grab, pay, go and we're in the next shop.

3 days 2 nights was a rather short stay. One more day could have been better. It was too rush. But like what some of my friends say, at least you get to go. True!

D'MA pavilion hotel was good. Nice big rooms and very clean. Wonder why some of the reviews I read didn't reflect that. Although location was a little off the shopping area, it was walkable abt 10 minutes, or a taxi ride, which is rather cheap solves everything.

One week of break. Going to finish assignments and study for tests. The plan for this week.
Monday - Finish my portion of AAE201 assignment and AAE101 assignment.
Tuesday - Meet group members to finish AAE101 assignment. Meeting laogong's sisters and laogong for mooncake festival. We're going out to carry lanterns.
Wednesday - Maybe I'll stay over at laogong's place and study on Wednesday with TYX if she's at home.
Thursday - Study and assignment day.
Friday - Facial with TYX!
Saturday and Sunday - Study and assignment day.

I'm still open to be booked on my study and assignment day.

Busy busy busy...

Busy busy busy...

I am supposed to be doing my assignment now. Well, actually I am in the process of completing it. It was just issued today and due this Wednesday 5pm. It's quite confusing and so I'm taking a break for a tiny while, away from the assignment, and blogging now.

Been wanting to update the last few nights, but I couldn't find the time to blog. I've been trying very hard to learn my international phonetic alphabets. It's tough, but I think I am getting the hang of it. Fortunately, or unfortunately, my mum learnt about IPA too when she signed up for a course a few months ago. So now, like a primary school kid, my mum sits next to me and makes me learn my IPA. Back to the old school.

I can't wait for Friday!! Thailand, Bangkok, here I come!

Well, I guess majoring in English and studying Linguistics now is not a wrong choice though I seem more inclined to the Mathematical area.
